Developing Pin-Head’s Heaven on Earth, Your Neighborhood Bowling Lanes

July 26th, 2009

I regularly hear from a part-time bowler hoping to treat real bowling more seriously. If that’s the case, you’ve stumbled upon a important time in building fundamental skills as a serious bowler. Our introduction to A Bowler’s Development shouldn’t be ignored. The guys at a nearby bowling pro shop want their customers reach their bowling potential. Just like a lot of sports, aim the balls at the pins and let them roll. That’s a joke. Fine, if only it were that simple. No worry, we’ll make sure you’re bowling the best way we know how.

First, buy your own tailored bowling balls, bowling ball bags, and shoes needed to do this right. It’s not a sales pitch, it actually matters. It’s no joke, get your private ball drilled, and your game will benefit. A correctly drilled bowling ball can make a substantial improvement in your game. Of course another critical matter is sliding out your final step in well-made bowling shoes that don’t stink like desanitizer

Now that you went ahead and bought your supplies, you’re ready for another important piece of bowling advice: taking aim. While you wait to roll, try not to focus on the pins. Line up using the notches on the lane like a sight on a firearm. Ever noticed them? It is easier to aim for a point that is nearer. For it to work right, include it as part of your routine to line-up at the exact spot on the wood each time. With that consistency you can fine-tune your accuracy and angle.

What do you make of massive hooks on the ball, to achieve ball handling and velocity? That makes our bowling tip #3. It’s all in the their expensive reactive resin balls. A lot of professional bowlers regularly roll at least two bowling balls to get aggressive pin action, according to where they are. However greenhorns might want to not try to be fancy, and don’t get a ball that weighs a ton. A lot of pro bowlers travel with bowling balls with advanced composite expert grip. However you should know these balls can make even some well known players appear foolish. With these tips you’re on the right track. There will be more next week.

We manage the recreational league comprised of the operation at our company’s department of communications here in Kansas City. I provide advice to professional and amature bowlers online and at the bowling center. Also, I have to give a shout out to all my heavy rollers at the finals in Atlantic City.
